Study Philosophy or Religious Studies (Ph.D. and M.A. Programs)

Graduate School of Philosophy and Religion

Assumption University of Thailand, Bangkok

In a rapidly globalizing world that is increasingly exacerbating political, ethnic and religious tensions, it is important for leaders and policy makers in many fields to be critical and creative, and yet respectful of diverse older traditions. Graduate Students of Philosophy and Religion are prepared for such challenges. They are trained in systematic, independent, and innovative thinking across religious, cultural and disciplinary boundaries. They are in a position to consider unfamiliar ideas, to evaluate opposing arguments and to achieve cooperation and compromise in conflict situations. This makes them well equipped to identify, moderate and solve today’s social, environmental and political problems.
